This weekend we made my dad’s chili! He LOVES chili! We had it at least once a week growing up when it was cold and every time he made it he would say, “This is the best chili I’ve ever made!” It’s my absolute favorite for the cooler months and for all tailgates and football parties! I prefer to do it in the crockpot, but my dad always does it on the cooktop. I will cook the beef, onions and garlic in the morning and let the crockpot cook everything all day! It’s SOOOO good!!
Hammered Copper Cookware | Ground Meat Chopper
Chop one yellow onion and three to four cloves garlic and cook with two pounds ground beef. Also, add in one McCormick Original Chili seasoning packet to ground beef mixture.
Bella Diamonds Collection Slow Cooker
While the meat is cooking, I mix all of the beans, tomatoes, corn, Rotel and other two chili seasoning packets (Original and Mild). I prefer the Bush’s Brand chili beans. I’ve tried the organic chili beans, but they don’t have the same flavor. I got several different kinds of beans this time:
1 can Bush’s Chili Beans Pinto Beans (NOT drained)
1 can Bush’s Chili Beans Kidney Beans Spicy chili sauce (NOT drained)
2 cans Bush’s Chili Beans Kidney Beans (NOT drained)
1 can Bush’s Seasoned Recipe Black Beans (drained)
1 can Fire Roasted Corn (drained)
1 can Rotel mild (drained)
1 can Rotel original (drained)
2 cans Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes
2 cans Tomato Sauce
1 pack McCormick Mild Chili Seasoning
1 pack McCormick Original Chili Seasoning
After the ground beef, onions, garlic and seasoning packet are cooked, you add it all to the bean, tomato and corn mixture. You can either cook it on HIGH for four hours or LOW for six to eight hours. This makes a TON of chili! So it’s perfect for parties or large gatherings!
I also LOVE that all I had to do was order this on the Target app and it was ready two hours later and they brought everything to my car!! Here’s your shopping list:
